Selected Upcoming Meetings
2 September 2025 Planning Commission
Thursday, 7 PM * 100 Municipal Drive, Newtown, PA
Agenda Includes:
- Land Development: 211 Upper Silver Lake Road. The plan proposes to subdivide of an existing 5.11-acre lot located at the northwest intersection of Upper Silver Lake Road (T-346) and Kirkwood Drive (T-466) into three (3) lots. Each lot is to have a single-family detached dwelling.
- Planning Module: 484 Stoopville Road. The property owner of 484 Stoopville Road, Newtown Township (Bucks County, PA) proposes the construction of a new 5-bedroom home. The site already includes an existing 5-bedroom house and an entertainment barn, both of which currently use an on-lot septic system. The project will install a community sewage disposal system to serve all three buildings, with the old system to be abandoned once the connections are complete.

4 September 2025 Zoning Hearing Board

Agenda Includes:
- Mélange on Sycamore (255 N. Sycamore Street)
Applicant is seeking variance to allow six (6) window tree etching signs in addition to the two (2) signs each tenant is allowed to have per prior variance granted to Sycamore Center. For more on that, read Summary of the 5 August 2025 #NewtownPA Planning Commission Meeting. Note: “*Zoning Officer emailed attorney 8/6 requesting timeline waiver.” May mean this item may NOT be on the agenda. If so, the meeting will be canceled because this is the only item on the agenda. 10 September 2025 Board of Supervisors

All public comment must contain the commenter’s name and confirmation that the commenter is a Township resident or taxpayer, and should be as succinct as possible. Newtown Creek Pedestrian Bridge Plan Presentation

Public Meeting to Present Plans for the Newtown Creek Pedestrian Bridge. The new pedestrian bridge will cross Newtown Creek next to the old trolley bridge foundations between Frost Lane in the Borough and Sycamore Street in the Township. On June 26, 2025, the Newtown Creek Coalition held a public meeting to present plans for this. The following video was created from audio and photos at that meeting.
